Reminiscing...

I watched Ireland kick Australia's butt in the rugby over the weekend! It was such a good match, so good to watch. Strange though. It was the first twinge of home-sickness I felt in a long time. Not much can make me miss Dublin. But seeing Lansdowne road, and the stadium shot they show where you can see our apartment block from, and the stadium stand up to sing 'Ireland's call' and here Ryle Nugent doing the commentary, it tugged at me a bit. Then getting messages from friends asking if I was watching the match, them telling me they were sitting at home watching it, having sunday dinner, rain pouring outside. I talked to Xio and Roger--some things will never change with them. They were both fighting with eachother. Lasagne in the oven for dinner. No doubt the sunday paper was lying all over the table and duvets were on the sofa and they were cuddled up watching the rugby. It was definitely enough for me to think back on home with a fond smile.
